Real Story Facts of Gangubai
Gangubai was a small village in Maharashtra, India. The land was fertile and granted by the local kings to every person. That’s how it is supposed to be. But not for Gangubai. Her husband died, leaving her with three children and many debts.
She finally decided that enough was enough and decided to leave her village to start over somewhere far from home, with only one goal: make a better life for herself and her family. She took the first step — leaving home — but an accident involving a tree felling a tree nearly claimed her life on the street of Narayangarh, in Sangli district of Maharashtra, India.
A man who had been driving past stopped to help Gangubai when she collapsed in the road under an enormous trunk (called 'Ki-ki) that had fallen down during a storm overnight (the biggest in the region). He immediately started bleeding out due to his injuries and took Gangubai into his care until a passerby rescued him from beneath the trunk and brought him to safety (a fair amount of blood was strewn on the ground around him).
The man went back home after that, where he told his wife about what he had done for Gangubai when she collapsed in the road outside Narayangarh. His wife then went out to see how much damage had been caused by the tree falling on her husband’s car although they couldn’t confirm whether it was actually him or not.
The couple decided that they needed more than just money from their deceased husband's estate; they needed something special for their daughter who would grow up with this story as part of her heritage (as she would have grown up hearing about Gangubai’s story). So they called on some people from their community and asked them if there were any other stories like hers that could also be passed down through generations. After some time passed, some relatives came forward with various stories about people who have left their names as well as other valuable tales; including one which describes how Gangubai started off as just another peasant girl who lived among many others like herself until she earned money by selling rubber and became an important person in her own right because she belonged to an important family at one point... so much so that some people might even call her 'the sister of Gangubai'.
That night, when everyone was asleep after all those years of hard work being passed
